Delete your data

How to delete your account, and how to ask a property to delete what it holds about you.

Which route applies depends on who you are. Property managers and their staff hold a Vidimo account and can delete it themselves. Guests do not: their details sit in the records of the property they booked or messaged, so a request goes to that property, and we help it act.

If you have a Vidimo account

Delete it from the app, without asking anyone:

  • Tap your avatar in the top bar to open your menu.
  • Open Account, then scroll to the bottom.
  • Tap Delete account and type the confirmation phrase.

This removes your profile, your sign-in, your avatar, and any connected Google or Apple sign-in. Records that must be kept for legal reasons, such as bookings and invoices belonging to the property, stay with the property, and entries in its audit trail are rewritten so they no longer identify you.

If you messaged a property on Instagram, WhatsApp, or SMS

When a property connects a messaging account, we store the conversation so its team can reply to you, along with the account name you wrote from. The property decides what happens to it, so deletion is its call to make.

Ask the property directly, or write to us at privacy@vidimo.app and we will pass the request to the right property and help it carry the deletion out. Tell us which property you contacted and the account or number you wrote from, so we can find the right conversation.

A property can also disconnect its Instagram account at any time, from Integrations in its settings. That erases the access token, the connected account id, and the stored account name straight away.

How long it takes

We acknowledge requests sent to privacy@vidimo.app within 30 days, which is the window the GDPR allows. Deleted account data is removed within 30 days, except for the limited records we are required to keep for tax, accounting, security, dispute resolution, or booking compliance. Our Privacy Policy sets out those cases and how long each is held.
